The Olympus has this setting where you can hold down the camera button and it will rapidly take shots the whole time (great for getting those prefect pictures of my sister's ballet recitals) so I used that setting, turning on the macro, as my husband spun this coin, a Kina from Papua New Guinea.
There were (obviously) a bunch of pictures but I chose this one for the detail and light on the coin face, and you could tell it was spinning. Also it had less background, which I edited in greater blur, since I read that if something doesn't add to a picture it takes away.

Day 2: One
One of the things I wanted in my new camera was (in addition to being able to withstand the jungle) better macro settings than my old one. I am pleased. Not awed. But pleased.

Day 1: Outside
Being able to take good photos is something every missionary needs to be good at!
And, of course, like many, I find well taken photos to be a breath taking art that I'd love to be proficient at. And you know what they say! Practice makes perfect!
That, combined with working toward completing my bucket list, which includes a 365 Photography project, results in this Blog.
Let us begin!

Day One:
Outside.
It's presently hot as Hades here in Dallas, so I wasn't going adventure hunting for my first photo. This is the view from my patio. During the school year the sound of frolicking preschools fills the air with laughter, screams, and often crying.
The sun was blistering so I used -.7 exposure.
